Shri Vallabh Pittie Industries (SVP), a leading textile company with its revolutionising innovations in polyester & cotton blended yarn today inaugurated its Rs 450 crore new textile plant in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The plant is fully automated with 1,00,000 spindles holding a manufacturing capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum and is spread across 25 acres of area. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the state government is committed to forge partnerships that promote manufacturing and create employment opportunities in Rajasthan. She said that the start of operations at the Polyester and Cotton Blended Yarn Industries plant by Shri Vallabh Pittie Group would prove to be a big leap forward in the direction of realizing the dream of Resurgent Rajasthan. Smt. Raje inaugurated the plant worth project cost Rs. 450 crore at Dhanodi Industrial Area in Jhalawar district on Thursday.
Chief Minister said that the efforts by The Pittie Group were an excellent example of development realised by effective governance - a pillar of the Rajasthan Model of Development. "Our mission of 'Make in Rajasthan' compliments the PM's vision of Make in India," she said. She said that setting up of this plant in a record time was a manifestation of the efforts made by the state in Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 and validated the claim that Rajasthan was an investor friendly state. Smt. Raje said that setting up of this yarn factory would directly benefit the farmers of entire Kota division. With availability of fertile land, water for irrigation and proper electricity supply, the farmers in this region had opportunity to grow hybrid cotton, she added. This plant would give direct employment to 500 people and indirectly create livelihood opportunities for 30,000 persons. Also, two new yarn units at Kotda Jagir would be employment to 4,000 people and benefit lakhs of farmers, she added. She also inaugurated the skill development centre at the yarn factory.
